Wendi Velando Rankin, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)

Dr. Rankin is a graduate of UC Davis where she earned a BS in Veterinary Science (2002) and her DVM (2004) and an MS
in Veterinary Biomedical Science (2008) from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Rankin also completed a small
animal medicine and surgery internship, an oncology residency and a concurrent MS degree all at the University of
Missouri (2008). Dr. Rankin became board certified in Internal Medicine (subspecialty Oncology) in 2008, and joined SAGE
later that year.

Dr. Rankin enjoys all aspects of oncology, particularly treating patients suffering from feline tumors, patients with thyroid
carcinoma and urinary/bladder carcinoma, hypercalcemia, and soft tissue sarcoma. Among other cancer treatment options,
Dr. Rankin performs electrochemotherapy (ECT). She is passionate about helping clients feel comfortable with their
decision in the treatment of their pet. "Cancer is very scary, and I want to educate clients so they can make an informed
decision to ensure the best quality time left with their loved one, no matter long that time is."
