| Board-Certified Veterinary Oncologists: David M. Lurie, BVSc, Diplomate ACVIM (Oncology), Diplomate ACVR (Radiation oncology) Dr. Lurie is a native South African. He received a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2000. He then completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery with an emphasis in Medical Oncology at the University of Illinois in 2001. He subsequently completed residencies in Medical and Radiation Oncology at the University of California, Davis in 2003 and 2005, respectively. Dr. Lurie then went on to take a faculty position at the University of Florida where he was a founding member of the Oncology Program. He served in this capacity between 2005- 2009. Dr. Lurie is extensively published in the field of canine lymphoma and has a strong interest in hemolymphatic neoplasia in dogs and cats as well as all types of tumors requiring radiation therapy, including those of the central nervous system. Dr. Lurie is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (oncology) and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (radiation oncology). |
