| Board-Certified Veterinary Oncologists: Pamela Lucas, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology) Dr. Lucas received her B.S. degree in Agriculture from Tennessee Technological University. She received her D.V.M. from the University of Tennessee. In 2005, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship followed by an oncology internship in private practice in Florida. Dr. Lucas completed her residency in medical oncology and received her Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois. She received the Gregory E. MacEwen basic science research award and the Phi Zeta Literary award for research in the areas of lymphoma and osteosarcoma. She lectures at the state and national levels and is published in many veterinary journals. Professional interests include hematopoietic neoplasms, translational medicine, alleviating pathologic bone pain, and the human-animal bond. |
