Oncology services include:
Radiation Therapy Capabilities: Linear accelerator (Siemens Primus linear accelerator with 6MV photon and 6-21 MeV electron capabilities. This unit has a 56-leaf collimator that allows for intensity modulated radiation therapy). Strontium plesiotherapy is also available. Pain Clinic: The Pain Clinic was created especially for veterinary patients with painful conditions (such as cancer) that have proven difficult to manage using standard analgesic regimens. The Pain Clinic offers a multidisciplinary approach to pain, combining the expertise of several specialists such as anesthesiologists, surgeons, oncologists, neurologists, physical therapists and non-traditional, complementary medicine practitioners. Telephone consultation is available when travel to our clinic isn’t feasible. Clinical Nutrition Veterinary Specialty: The Clinical Nutrition Service works with specialists in Critical Care, Cardiology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Surgery and other services to provide state-of-the-art nutrition for animals with medical conditions. |
